Occasionally newspapers republish historical front pages, usually as part of an anniversary of their founding or some other big event. These four pages were likely reprinted by the New York Times as part of some such retrospective.  Condition is great but the date or occasion of reprinting is unknown.

These two full front pages recount the seizure of Petrograd by Communist revolutionaries in 1917 and the ‘discovery’ of the North Pole by Robert Peary.

• Article about a machine translation program (described as a “robot”) developed by the Air Force which looks quaint by today’s technological standards – it could translate 40 words per minute!
• Article about doctors studying the brains of boxers and the “punch drunk” condition. The verdict of the doctors? “No lasting change” to the brain from boxing, a view which is surprising given what we know today about CTE and the damage done to the brain by sports trauma.
